Here we have issues of 'The Practical Householder' magazines from the late 1950s to 1960. 'The Practical Householder' belonged to a collective of DIY and engineering-themed magazines founded by Frederick James Camm.
They contain step by step instruction on various DIY projects from insulating your water tank to building your own revolving summerhouse! Some would be far beyond the scope of the everyday individual but are incredibly detailed! They also have a huge breadth of advertising material and typefaces from a period when photography was very expensive and print ads had to grab the attention of the reader immediately.
The magazines have some wear and tear, mainly to the covers, but are all in readable condition. Individual issues are listed separately – please select your choice from the options shown.
