Vintage shears or secateurs manufactured by 'J.A. Henckels'. The blades are known as a 'parrot beak' shape. These were originally poultry or butcher's shears, but would absolutely work for the tough pruning jobs in the garden!
They are volute spring-loaded, one blade is serrated and there is a safety clip on the bottom of the handle to close when not in use. The blades themselves are sharp and cut well. They also have the number '81' embossed near the maker's mark.
