This is a vintage trimming board for paper and photographic prints, it was likely made in England around the 1960’s.
It’s a great example of practical design. It's made from solid wood with brass and (what look to be) steel parts.
It has a nicely shaped metal handle which drives the blade up and down. The board still sits well on a table and the cutting action is good.

Good. There are signs of use such as paint/pen marks on the surface of the wood and some rust to the metal parts.
