'Opinel No. 8' Lock Pocket Knife

A vintage pocket knife with wooden handle, made by 'Opinel', a French manufacturer of knives since 1890 – and apparently Picasso's knife of choice for carving sculptures.

The handle is made from beech wood and bears the maker's stamp. The steel blade is engraved with the the company emblem and the words 'Opinel France'.
