Bent Wood Riddle

Vintage wooden riddle or sieve from the early 20th century.

Often used to separate wheat from chaff or seeds from soil, they also work well for sifting flour. 

The wood is steamed and bent into a circle, trapping a piece of steel wire mesh and tacked into place to hold the shape.
