Flowering Plants from Cuban Gardens

This is such a cool book!

In itself, 'Flowering Plants from Cuban Gardens' is full of nice botanical plates and information about tropical plants. The amazing thing, though is that it was part of the collection of a former British Ambassador to Cuba, who obviously was very interested in the local flora. 

They photographed examples of specimen, which are included in the book, as well as hand written notes. There is also a lovely inscription in the cover and a nice dedication by a botanical club as well. 

The condition is fair - the pages and photographs are in quite good condition - the spine is loose, likely from lots of use! 

A really cool piece for the lover of plants, South America, and/or history!
