Metal Mould Block Paper Weight

This metal mould block, manufactured by E.R. Hoyt and Co. would have been used to impress a shape in to a substrate before casting. 

It's just the kind of thing that makes for an interesting story and is ideal for repurposing around the house. It'd make a great paperweight or decorative object for a coffee table or shelf. The back and front of the block are both interesting. The former has an impressed branding and the back has been hand engraved.
