A vintage sliding cardboard box with various coloured pencil crayons. The box reads 'VENUS Perfect Pencils'.
Originally the contents would have been drawing pencils made by the American Lead Pencil Company beginning in 1905. After WWI they really took off in popularity.
The box is just one of those items you look at and think: wow - they really used to design everything so well! It's a great addition to a considered stationery collection.
