Ceramic pot - Seville marmalade by Frank Cooper's of Oxford.
Aged 24, Sarah Cooper began production of Oxford marmalade at 83-84 High Street where a blue plaque stands today commemorating the conception of this marmalade! From 1874 - 1903 Cooper's recipe was made in the family kitchen on High Street until the company moved to a purpose built factory, before being sold to Twinings in 1919.
A pot of this very marmalade was taken on Captain Robert Scott's expedition to Antartica, as discovered by a jar being found in the ice many years later!
The perfect receptacle for smaller kitchen utensils or as a desk pen and pencil pot for a vintage style home office.
Really good condition! Please select your preference of the two from the variants...
