Handmade Peruvian Tapestry

These vintage Peruvian textile pieces are absolutely spectacular and are the kind of piece that you never get tired of looking at!

When you stand in front of them and look, it's hard not to think about all of the incredible handwork and time that went into them. Using traditional craftsmanship they will have been made by hand from the inception of the piece - from raising and shearing the animal, to spinning and weaving the fibre and finally to finishing the intricate scenes with hand embroidery. 

They depict scenes of life and domesticity including many kinds of animals, boats, homes and plants. 

The condition is very good and they are ideal for hanging pride of place on a wall or framing.
